Denis Lee Cullins Memorial Scholarship

The Denis Cullins Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a full time continuing Humboldt student.

In 1987 this scholarship was established in memory of Humboldt State University student Denis ‘Lee’ Cullins. He was a wildlife major at Humboldt and worked for 3 1/2 years at the University Bookstore. As a seasonal firefighter he had been assigned to the Forestry Department’s elite helitack force and died while fighting a wildfire near Willits, CA. Amounts and numbers of scholarships are estimates, dependent on funding.
