Thelma and Kasper Ingebritson Scholarship

The Thelma and Kasper Ingebritson Scholarship is named after two lifelong educators devoted to early childhood education and to helping students pursue their education goals. Thelma taught kindergarten in the College Elementary School at Humboldt (then Humboldt State College) from 1952-1969. Kasper was a professor in the Education Department from 1950-1973. The first Ingebritson Scholarship began in the 1991-92 academic year. Over the years, more than 100 students at Humboldt have benefited from scholarships established by Thelma and Kasper Ingebritson. This scholarship is awarded to a Liberal Studies: Child Development or Liberal Studies: Elementary Education major. Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA or California Dream Act Application. Amounts and numbers of scholarships are estimates, dependent on funding.
