Jack Thompson Hearst Scholarship

The English department is proud to offer 2-4 $1,000 scholarships per academic year. To be eligible, students must be either a declared English major or an enrolled graduate student in the MA in English program, have a GPA of 2.5 or above, demonstrate financial need (based on FAFSA application), be enrolled full-time for at least one semester in the subsequent academic year (at least 12 units for undergraduates and at least 8 units for graduate students), and have at least one full-time semester of coursework left to complete in the major or the MA program. Awards and amounts are based on estimates and applicable to change.
