James D. and Sara M. Turner Sociology Scholarship
The James D. and Sara M. Turner Sociology scholarship is awarded to a student pursuing MA in Public Sociology with a major GPA of at least 3.75 (MA), at least 9 hours (MA) of completed “SOC” coursework, and demonstrated financial need. Amounts and numbers of scholarships are estimates, dependent on funding.

- To apply, students are asked to submit a 1-page application essay that addresses the following: (1) Dedication to social justice. Please discuss your experience and focus here at HSU. (2) Remaining financial need. Please discuss how the Turner Scholarship might help meet that need.
