Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission/James Joseph Scholarship

Dr. James Joseph, Director of the Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission and a 1956 graduate of the fisheries department at Cal PolyHumboldt, established this scholarship jointly with the Tropical Tuna Commission to foster the education of graduate students in fisheries studies, particularly those entering the field of marine fisheries. Having spent virtually all of his career with the Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission, Dr. Joseph broadens his contributions to the field of marine fisheries in general and the Tropical Tuna Commission in particular through this scholarship endowment. Awarded to a Fisheries Biology student. Amounts and numbers of scholarships are estimates, dependent on funding.
