Sterling Sam Scholarship

The Sterling Sam scholarship is awarded to Botany majors, or graduate students doing research in Botany. Recipient must attend the Botany Ceremony in April to personally accept the award. The goal of this scholarship is to provide underrepresented students a chance at earning a botany degree, so they can make a positive impact on the community and commitment to the botanical sciences profession. By supporting students of diverse populations, this award aims to reduce the shortage of diverse botanical science professionals. All qualified students are encouraged to apply, including those who belong to one of a number of campus clubs focused on underrepresented students, individuals with a disability, and/or students who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. It is based primarily on academic experience, but field and/or research experience will also be considered. Qualifying seniors and graduate students are invited to apply.
